Key Responsibilities

As a Caregiver with Home Instead, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in friendly companionship and conversation to help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation, to maintain a safe and healthy living environment
  • Providing reminders for medication and appointments to ensure our clients receive the care they need
  • Assisting with personal care needs, such as grooming, bathing, toileting, and incontinence issues, with dignity and respect
  • Providing care to clients with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, using our specialized training and expertise
  • Maintaining accurate records of client care and communicating effectively with our office staff and other caregivers

Requirements

To be successful as a Caregiver with Home Instead, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A strong commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our clients
  • Respect for seniors and their personal property
  • Access to reliable transportation and a punctual attendance record
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients, families, and other caregivers
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and challenges
  • A valid driver's license (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

While a background in healthcare or social services is not required, it is highly desirable. We also welcome applications from individuals with experience in caregiving, customer service, or a related field.
