Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Insurance Defense team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation, including construction defect cases. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and results-driven attorney who is passionate about delivering exceptional results and providing top-notch client service.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Attorney on our Insurance Defense team, you will be responsible for:
- Handling all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Actively managing and driving cases from inception to resolution, including trial preparation and trial
- Conducting legal research and providing legal analysis on complex issues in insurance defense, ideally with a construction background
- Regularly communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Representing clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Providing strategic legal advice and guidance on a wide range of insurance defense matters
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients through excellent client service
- Collaborating with the legal team to develop strategies for complex cases
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California Bar and in good standing
- A minimum of 1-6 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
- Proven experience in discovery, drafting motions, and cross complaints
- Strong knowledge of the litigation process and experience in managing a high-volume case load
- Experience in construction and premises liability is highly desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
