Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Insurance Defense team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation, including construction defect cases. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and results-driven attorney who is passionate about delivering exceptional results and providing top-notch client service.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Attorney on our Insurance Defense team, you will be responsible for:

• Handling all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions
• Actively managing and driving cases from inception to resolution, including trial preparation and trial
• Conducting legal research and providing legal analysis on complex issues in insurance defense, ideally with a construction background
• Regularly communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Representing clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Providing strategic legal advice and guidance on a wide range of insurance defense matters
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients through excellent client service
• Collaborating with the legal team to develop strategies for complex cases

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California Bar and in good standing
• A minimum of 1-6 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
• Proven experience in discovery, drafting motions, and cross complaints
• Strong knowledge of the litigation process and experience in managing a high-volume case load
• Experience in construction and premises liability is highly desirable
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards
