About Amazon Vendor Services (AVS)

As a leading e-commerce company, Amazon is committed to delivering the highest level of services to our most engaged customers – sellers/vendors. Our Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) team, in partnership with Retail Business Services (RBS), offers a paid B2B service that aims to help key vendors partner with Amazon. As a Vendor Consultant, you will be instrumental in helping shape and deliver on a strategy for managing key metric pillars for Amazon AVS vendors.

Key Responsibilities

As a Vendor Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Success will be measured by the performance of your internal teams on input metrics and impact of vendors on creating a great customer experience.
  • Partnering with Retail (AVS) Team to manage vendor relationship by championing the vendor's needs at Amazon.
  • Building communication channels at all levels, setting proper expectations, providing clear status communications, and managing towards a growth plan for the vendors.
  • Building and executing on a strategic account plan that delivers on key business opportunities and relevant KPIs for the vendors and Amazon.
  • Working with internal Amazon teams/vendors to improve operational aspects of their business in providing a great consumer experience.
  • Conducting deep dive analysis on the handled issues for the vendors and developing recommendations and action plans based on data to improve vendor experience.
  • Providing thought leadership around planning, roadmaps, and execution.
  • Establishing long-term partnerships with key vendor partners for the group of vendors handled.
  • Supporting the launches of new programs, categories, and features.
  • Conducting regular WBR, MBRs with the vendors, highlighting business metric performance, and building action plans.
  • Metric influencing (ability to understand a metric and create realistic forecasts, take calculated risks, and quick to react with new action plans)

Essential Qualifications

* C1 Certification minimum (German)

  • 2+ years of experience in vendor/account/catalog management, buying/sourcing/sales, product management, supply chain
  • 2+ years of experience interacting with customers/stakeholders
  • 1+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel (Array and Statistical formulas)
  • Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Fast learner and ability to deal with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of macros and data analytics

  • Ability to drive process or procedure improvements
  • Knowledge of tools such as Sharepoint, SIM-ticketing, and project management tools, as well as experience using scripts
