As a Customer Advocate, you will be the healthcare hero for 50-70 individuals daily, navigating the complex world of primary care physicians, medications, appointments, and benefits with ease and precision. Your role will be pivotal in making a real impact on people's lives, and we're excited to have you on board.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday, with flexible 8-hour shifts between 8am and 8pm EST. We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we ensure our team members have their weekends free to recharge. Upon joining, you'll embark on an intensive 5-week orientation program, designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in your role. Our comprehensive training and ongoing support will guide you every step of the way, ensuring your success and comfort in your new position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing the needs and concerns of our members with empathy and professionalism.
  • Navigate multiple databases and web-based systems seamlessly, while maintaining a high level of customer engagement over the phone.
  • Demonstrate a keen ear for listening and a knack for finding solutions, ensuring that every interaction is positive and productive.
  • Manage multiple tasks with ease, prioritizing responsibilities to meet the high standards of our service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently, promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual support.

Your Strengths and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma is required, although a bachelor's degree is highly valued and considered a significant asset.
  • At least one year of experience in insurance operations is necessary, as it provides a foundational understanding of the industry and its complexities.
  • Proficiency in handling multiple web-based systems and databases is crucial, as you'll be working with a variety of technological tools.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to keep track of multiple pieces of information are vital for success in this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare or insurance, particularly with medical terminology and benefit plans, is highly desirable.
  • A background in social work, behavioral health, or a related field demonstrates your commitment to helping others and can be a significant advantage.
