About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist to join our team as either a Level I or Level II professional. This role is a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical expertise and project management skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an Engineering Technologist, you'll play a critical part in driving our business forward and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Apply your technical knowledge to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in your area of expertise.
  • Project Management: Ensure business goals and objectives are met through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches with some guidance.
  • Engineering Studies: Conduct engineering and related studies to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Continuous Learning: Strive to continually improve your job-related, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Develop positive working relationships and demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate work activities.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and files to support business operations.
  • Company Representation: Support the company's goals and represent the company positively and professionally.

Basic/Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the basic requirements for either Engineering Technologist I or Engineering Technologist II:

Engineering Technologist I

  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology.
  • In lieu of an Associate's degree, a High School/GED and 4+ years of related work experience.

Engineering Technologist II

  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology and 2+ years of related work experience.
  • In lieu of an Associate's degree and 2+ years of related work experience, a High School/GED and 6+ years of related work experience.

Desired and Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable and can set you apart as a candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology.
  • Experience in the utility industry.
  • Understanding of basic principles of project management.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively apply basic principles of project management.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
