Job Summary
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Southwest Airlines, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Salesforce applications that meet the needs of our customers and employees. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, develop solutions, and deploy applications that drive business value. This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility to work from home and our remote office.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement Salesforce applications that meet business requirements and align with company strategies and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers and stakeholders, to identify business needs and develop solutions.
- Work closely with other engineers to raise the bar on technology and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and implement timely resolution efforts across technology areas.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Salesforce applications.
- Moderate knowledge of programming development techniques, practices, concepts, and technologies.
- Experience with Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business and technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce Customer 360, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Experience with DevOps tools, such as GIT and SalesforceDX.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
