Responsibilities

As an Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk – Digital Database Management & Customer Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Data Entry & Management: Inputting data from paper documents into digital spreadsheets, updating order statuses for customers, and double-checking your work to ensure accuracy.
  • Data Verification & Quality Control: Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities if possible, and checking the output to ensure data integrity.
  • Research & Documentation: Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents, and applying data program techniques and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reporting & Storage: Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations to ensure data security.
  • Document Scanning & Printing: Scanning documents and printing files, when needed, to support data entry and management tasks.
  • Customer Support: Providing exceptional customer support by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, including touch typing and database management tools.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to think analytically and critically, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience working in a Data Entry Clerk position is a plus. Additionally, proficiency in other software applications, such as Google Suite or Salesforce, may be beneficial.
