We're looking for a talented Senior Risk Management Security Engineer to help us expand our program and drive business growth by:

  • Providing data visualization to leaders to reduce uncertainty
  • Developing effective methods to respond to technology risk

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Risk Management Security Engineer at Netflix, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic vision for the risk management program at Netflix
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with various teams across the organization to drive business outcomes
  • Analyzing and visualizing complex data to inform risk-based decision-making
  • Advocating for risk management and understanding data-driven models and metrics for navigation
  • Designing and implementing key risk indicators, control metrics, and performance indicators for various projects
  • Applying statistical models to risk frameworks (e.g., FAIR, Monte-Carlo with Dynamic dispersions, sensitivity analysis)
  • Utilizing programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, and others
  • Working with data visualization tools like Tableau or other statistical and visualization software
  • Participating in risk management, decision-making, and collaborative discussions
  • Supporting evaluated risk assessments and understanding the value of subjective data for quality and engineering process improvements
  • Developing loss event scenarios across business units, functions, operations, and products using data security risk expertise
  • Interpreting internal or external digital protection risk assessments in business terms and recommending effective strategies
  • Creating templates and educational materials to support self-service risk management activities based on defined risk tolerances
  • Monitoring and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness of risk management processes

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive work delivery
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, and others
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or other statistical and visualization software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Master's or Ph.D.)
  • Experience in risk management, data security, and statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., FAIR, ISO 31000)
  • Certifications in risk management, data security, or related fields
