Key Responsibilities
- Engage students and provide systematic and consistent learning support services in a positive and efficient manner.
- Assist students with lecture or lab material in chemistry courses, study methods, and technology needed to complete course-related material.
- Greet students and visitors, and provide guidance and assistance with general questions about the college and its services.
- Tutoring will take place primarily in-person at either the main campus or Akron location, with some online tutoring available based on hourly needs.
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure seamless support services for students.
- Utilize technology, including Microsoft Office Applications, to enhance tutoring services.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field with courses in general chemistry and organic chemistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort with technology usage, including Microsoft Office Applications.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in tutoring or teaching, and familiarity with online learning platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $14.81 - $19.99 per hour, depending on experience. As a part-time employee, you'll also receive:
