Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Dataworks team. As a Full Stack Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, working closely with cross-functional groups to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at FedEx, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines to support business outcomes
  • Working closely with cross-functional groups to drive business outcomes and ensure data-driven decision making
  • Collaborating with senior technologists to design and implement data-driven solutions
  • Developing and maintaining data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and analytics
  • Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security through data governance and compliance
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and data scientists
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related field
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, Scala, or C++
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

While the following qualifications are not essential, they are highly desirable:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes
