Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced customer service representatives to join our team in supporting a not-for-profit organization that processes scholarships for students attending K-12 private schools. As a customer service representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that families and schools participating in the scholarship program receive the support and assistance they need to navigate the application and funding process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship applications, and funding status
- Provide accurate and timely information to callers, ensuring that all questions are answered and callers are satisfied
- Assist families and schools in registering students for the scholarship program
- Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and concerns
- Maintain a high level of empathy, personability, and compassion when interacting with callers, even in difficult or tense situations
- Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Essential Qualifications:
* At least one year of customer service or call center experience
- English proficiency (a language assessment will be required)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering an excellent customer service experience
- Ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult or tense situations
- Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and ability to multitask
- Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a not-for-profit or educational setting
- Familiarity with scholarship programs or student registration processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
