At this point, Zelh is looking for Over the Road Account Manager, who will be responsible for managing the full truckload shipment process, from booking loads and negotiating carrier rates to ensuring on-time delivery. This role serves as the primary contact for customers, providing updates, resolving service issues, and maintaining strong carrier relationships to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full OTR shipment process from load booking to final delivery, ensuring on-time and cost-effective execution.

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned customers, providing regular shipment updates and resolving any service issues.

  • Source and secure capacity with carriers, negotiating competitive rates and maintaining strong carrier relationships.

  • Prepare and send accurate rate quotes to customers based on market conditions and shipment requirements.

  • Track and trace shipments daily, proactively addressing delays or service exceptions.

  • Update transportation management systems (TMS) with shipment details, documentation, and status updates.

  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and billing teams to ensure smooth coordination and accurate invoicing.

  • Monitor carrier performance and provide feedback to maintain service standards.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements in OTR logistics processes.

  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and customer-specific requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Over-the-Road (OTR) logistics or freight brokerage.

  • Knowledge of expedited shipments and equipment types including cargo vans, straight trucks, flatbeds, dry vans, and reefers.

  • Proficiency with load boards such as Sylectus and DAT.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with both carriers and customers.

  • Experience in providing quotes, securing loads, and ensuring on-time delivery for customer shipments.

  • Working schedule: Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST,
