Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Lead Big Data Engineer to join our team and lead the development of superior performance, distributed computing projects using Big Data technologies like Hadoop (stage level), NoSQL, text mining, and other distributed environment technologies based on the needs of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, and modifying software improvements as well as new products used in distributed, large-scale analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Aid in the definition of software architecture to ensure that the company's software solutions are built within a consistent framework.

  • Aid in the dynamic process involved in the selection of software architecture solutions.
  • Execute models to manage web-scale data and its association.
  • Execute systems that illuminate data architecture and engineering in collaboration with business standards.
  • Help create records that ensure consistency is developed across the company.
  • Carry out and improve core software foundation.
  • Foster intelligent dashboards, reports, and analysis formats.
  • Carry out and uphold a platform that can provide impromptu access to large datasets.
  • Translate key requirements to ensure effective solutions meet business needs.
  • Provide guidance on complex projects.
  • Audit and approve details to ensure consistency in approach and use.
  • Help partners as a technical and business-savvy resource to software workforce on a range of software design issues.
  • Perform systems and applications execution portrayal and compromise concentrates on through analysis and reproduction.
  • Research upgrades in coding guidelines.

Essential Qualifications

* Long-term degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Broad understanding of software development and design.
  • Capability in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Python.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Flash, Druid, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams/partners to improve overall functional growth of Big Data ecosystem.
  • Broad experience in functional aspects of complete Big Data stage like monitoring and alerts management, availability, capacity management, and service management.
  • Collaborative person that can partner and work with a global team.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with cloud-based Big Data technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
