Requirements to Drive with Uber
To become a part-time ride sharing driver with Uber, you'll need to meet the following requirements:- A Valid UK Driver's Licence:** You'll need a valid UK driver's licence (EU driver's licence needs to be converted to UK driver's licence before onboarding).
- Private Hire Licence:** You'll need a private hire licence from a licensing authority such as a council. If you don't have one, we'll help you get started with a personalised Ignition appointment.
- Age:** You must be at least 21 years of age to apply for your private hire licence, as required by the UK government.
- Driver Profile Photo:** You'll need to take a driver profile photo at our Greenlight Hub.
- EduMe Course:** You'll need to complete the EduMe Course, a virtual onboarding course that helps you familiarise with the Uber app and its features.
- Driving Experience:** The required years of driving experience will vary depending on the city you are based in.
