Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Data Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining reports on Tableau Server, including bug fixes, increasing performance of workbooks, and gathering and implementing feedback on any modifications needed. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success, including a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and its major workflows associated with healthcare claim processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the efforts to fulfill client requests, including understanding client needs, collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for data management projects, creating detailed technical documentation, and communicating effort, timelines, risk, and client impact.
  • Support performance, quality, and improvement efforts to help streamline processes through data analysis and visualization.
  • Evaluate dashboard quality, consistency, usability, and reliability by documenting and applying best practices to design and development.
  • Communicate with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and describe data modeling decisions and data visualization strategy.
  • Utilize SQL, and/or Python in data analytics to collect, understand, transform, cleanse, store, and share data in a privacy-preserving way.
  • Assist in testing, governance, data quality, training, and documentation efforts.
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst/Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its major workflows associated with healthcare claim processing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SQL for data manipulation, extraction, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • A proactive problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of related experience.
  • Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working with Tableau Server and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claim processing workflows and regulations.
  • Experience with data governance and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with Python and/or other programming languages.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $105K to $110K, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits and perks, including health insurance, 401k, and bonus opportunity.
