About the Role: Aetna Medicaid Member Services Representative

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Aetna Medicaid Member Services team. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll provide exceptional telephone support to Aetna Medicaid members and providers, addressing a range of inquiries and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and expertise. Your role will be critical in shaping the customer experience and ensuring that our members receive the support they need to navigate the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound calls from members and providers, addressing inquiries related to benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, and other relevant topics.
  • Provide accurate and timely information, resolving issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Utilize our systems and tools to access member information, document interactions, and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and quality, meeting performance standards and call quality goals.
  • Work from home with a secure, high-speed internet connection (via ethernet cable) and company-provided equipment.
  • Participate in training and ongoing development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Reside within 50 miles of Charleston, WV (commuting to the office may be required in certain circumstances).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members and providers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a high degree of self-motivation and discipline.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a call center environment, preferably in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs, including benefits, eligibility, and services.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or insurance setting, with knowledge of relevant systems and processes.
