Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Financial Systems Business Analyst to join our team, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and passion for process optimization. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize financial systems, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle Cloud and driving business growth through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial systems, process optimization, and Oracle Cloud capabilities. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements specific to accounting systems, ensuring alignment with Oracle Cloud capabilities.
  • Performing detailed gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and providing recommendations for optimizing business processes and system functionality within the Oracle Cloud.
  • Translating complex business requirements into clear and comprehensive requirements documentation, ensuring seamless communication with IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the IT team to configure, customize, and implement solutions, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Conducting thorough testing and quality assurance activities to validate system changes, ensuring successful implementation and minimal disruption to accounting operations.
  • Providing end-user training and support to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes and system functionalities.
  • Helping the business to cost-effectively implement technology improvements and solutions, driving process optimization and efficiency.
  • Working with process owners to understand their requirements and improve and automate processes and procedures.
  • Participating in quarterly system patch testing to ensure uninterrupted system performance.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and troubleshooting system issues, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate resolutions to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Performing the role of SME for SaaS applications owned by the business, working with vendors to solve any issues.
  • Managing business projects utilizing waterfall project plans and agile methodology, partnering with IT on project delivery.
  • Ensuring processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations, SOX controls, and best practices.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in business process design, optimization, and documentation, preferably in a financial systems context.
  • Proven experience as an Order to Cash Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of financial systems and process optimization.
  • Project management skills and experience in process improvement initiatives, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to document complex business requirements and work with IT for delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex and dynamic environment and work independently or as part of a team.
