Experienced Financial Account Coordinator - Retail Industry Specialist - Target Trade Spend Management

Job Summary

As a Financial Account Coordinator, you will work closely with the client's sales team, acting as their liaison to the retailer. You will be responsible for organizing, tracking, and executing financial transactions between the two parties, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and accurately. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the retail industry and develop your skills in trade spend management, financial analysis, and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities

* Meet weekly with the client's Sales Managers to discuss their category's financial state and provide assistance where needed.

  • Learn and become proficient in the retailer's systems to manage the setup of financial contracts and transactions.
  • Organize and track all planned and actual spend on the client's Excel tracking files.
  • Validate all charges from the retailer to ensure that the client is paying for what they have agreed to pay.
  • Learn and become proficient in the client's systems to manage clearing deductions and communicating planned spend.
  • Respond to and manage all audits from the retailer for the client's team.
  • Send weekly reports, such as Ad and Vendor Income recaps.
  • Handle miscellaneous duties, including submitting house orders, creating off-invoices, managing third-party expenses, and more.

Qualifications and Required Skills

* Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

  • 2+ years of professional experience in accounting or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt to the varying needs of each of the client's Sales Managers and Directors
  • Highly detail-oriented to efficiently track and organize numerous transactions and budgets
  • Self-motivated to stay on top of tasks such as clearing deductions, working through audits, and setting up contracts
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in trade spend management or a related field

  • Knowledge of retail industry systems and processes
  • Experience working with Excel and other financial software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
