About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director, Digital Transformation to lead our digital transformation initiatives and drive enterprise-wide innovation and operational excellence. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and executing key digital strategies that unlock insights and drive business transformation. Your expertise in AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies will be instrumental in helping us stay ahead of the curve and achieve our strategic imperatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute AI and data analytics strategies to support transformation initiatives and drive business outcomes.
• Build out Halozyme's AI and analytic capabilities through talent acquisition and strategic partnerships.
• Contribute to the development of our digital transformation strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic imperatives.
• Monitor and report on the progress of realized value from AI and data analytics digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop education and training programs to drive the adoption of business transformation through AI solutions across the enterprise.
• Partner with functional heads to execute functional AI initiatives that drive efficiencies and innovative solutions.
• Ensure deliverables are aligned with corporate security and compliance policies.
• Manage budget responsibilities for AI and data digital transformation portfolio investments and services.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science/analytics, engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Technology, Data Science, Analytics, AI, MI, data management, and data security.
• A minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles in information technology and/or Data Science.
• Deep knowledge of Data Analytics and AI models.
• Experience with M&A activities and integrations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including 'C' level.
• Ability to quickly drill down to solve problems and take ownership of the resolution.
• Experience working in the biotech/pharma industry is preferred.
