Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-native solutions using container technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Develop and maintain the company's infrastructure and platform, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in the development of their skills and knowledge
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and infrastructure development, applying that knowledge to continuously improve the company's infrastructure and platform
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the company's infrastructure and platform, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and easily accessible

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following essential qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • At least 3+ years of experience in the container orchestration space, with a strong focus on Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in programming using a high-level language, with a strong understanding of design principles and the ability to write clean, well-structured code
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and the ability to manage and maintain large-scale infrastructure deployments
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, including AWS or other cloud providers, with experience managing multiple accounts and geographies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience in the container orchestration space, with a strong focus on Kubernetes
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
  • Strong understanding of networking and Linux, including protocols, sniffing, and network design
  • Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible or SaltStack, and the ability to automate complex infrastructure deployments
  • Strong understanding of security principles and practices, with experience implementing secure infrastructure and platform solutions
