Job Title: Cell Operator

Job Description

Cell Operators are responsible for managing their designated 'Cell' and guiding rubber products for the automotive industry through the production cycle. The process involves handling a molding tool, filling it with metal rings, operating machinery, cooling, inspecting, and documenting results. This role is repetitive and requires attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fill molding tools with metal rings.
• Operate machinery to mold rubber products.
• Use an air brush to cool molded products.
• Inspect products for defects like air bubbles or rips.
• Document production details including quality checks and maintenance.
• Maintain a shift log tracking production goals and machine conditions.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand for full shifts.
• Attention to detail in inspection and production processes.
• Basic counting, sorting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift 35lbs multiple times per hour.
• Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production, assembly, or machine operation.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Enthusiasm for the role and ability to work in a team.

Work Environment

Operators work in a climate-controlled environment with shifts that vary depending on the cell assignment. Protective equipment is provided, including safety glasses and Kevlar sleeves. The facility allows drinks with caps on the floor, and employees must adhere to a no-smoking policy during work hours. Shifts are structured to include paid breaks, with no leaving the facility during work hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
